The Carrara, Bergamo's main art collection, was established at the end of the 18th century by count Giacomo Carrara. It includes an impressive series of masterpieces by Pisanello, Botticelli, Giovanni Bellini, Mantegna, Raffaello, Moroni, Baschenis, Fra' Galgario, Tiepolo and Canaletto.
.:. The art gallery was closed for restoration works in June, 2008, but in 2015 it opened again – alive and kicking.
.:. The
PWC gardens just outside the gallery are worth more than a look. So is their bistrot.
