.:. #Soggettiva explores the work of Joe Dante, a master of American independent cinema. The director of iconic 1980s films, Dante has shaped the imagination of generations of viewers with works such as Piranha, The Howling, Innerspace, Small Soldiers, and Looney Tunes: Back in Action. On Saturday, 18 April, the filmmaker is the focus of a masterclass moderated by Manlio Gomarasca. Following the talk, in collaboration with the Cinémathèque Suisse, ECAL, and Filmpodium, Joe Dante will introduce a screening of his cult film Gremlins.
.:. The #KR focus, in collaboration with the Visions du Réel festival, pays tribute to the work of Kelly Reichardt. On Friday, 24 April, the director meets the audience for a masterclass retracing her career, moderated by Paolo Moretti.
.:. Director, screenwriter, and poet Bi Gan is at the center of the #BG focus, which presents Resurrection. The section is completed by screenings of Kaili Blues and Long Day’s Journey into Night, visionary works that have redefined the possibilities of cinematic storytelling.

Just months after the passing of Hungarian filmmaker Béla Tarr, #BT invites audiences to rediscover on the big screen three masterpieces that marked his career: Satantango, Werckmeister Harmonies and The Turin Horse.During the weekend of miart, #Supernova hosts on Friday, 17 April the preview screening of White Snail, the fiction debut of the filmmaking duo Elsa Kremser and Levin Peter.The screening is followed by a conversation between the directors and programmer Daniela Persico.
