Thirteenth edition for the late summer festival organized by the Milan and Turin city authorities to promote
cultural links between the two main economic powerhouses of Italy's North West.

Geography as the focus this year. Standouts include
Italian premieres of pieces composed by Philip
Glass, Régis Campo, Joby Talbot, and Giovanni Sollima.

Some of the most famous orchestras involved in this edition are the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (in Milan on September 3), the La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra (September 11), the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra (September 14) and the National Symphony Orchestra of the Italian Radiotelevision (September 18). Best performers include Martha
Argerich (September 3), Katia and Marielle Labèque, Alexander Romanovsky, Olli Mustonen, Mario Brunello, Daniel Müller-Schott, Nils Mönkemeyer, Sean Shibe, and Tine Thing Helseth.
