On May 17, 2016, the Fondo Ambiente Italiano opened the seventh edition of its "Luoghi del Cuore" (or places of heart) census, inviting the ordinary people to list any forgotten corners of Italy that they reckon should be saved from oblivion, and their refurbishment funded.
.:. These mass reports have been a sign of active citizenship. They help discovering unknown sites, or provide suggestions for trips out of town.
.:. Sites which have been saved thanks to the previous editions of the "Luoghi del Cuore" include the Trotter Park in town - next Via Padova, just outside Piazza Loreto - and the historic Sforzesca farmhouse (mapped) in the Vigevano area.
