A summer festival organized by the Municipality of Milan, the Milanesiana offers a rich program of readings, concerts, meetings and films, developing this year's theme Manias / Obsessions.

Among the participants are the Nobel Prize writers Wole Soyinka (June 27) and John Coetzee (July 4), Academy Awards Best Directors Bernardo Bertolucci (July 1st) and Gabriele Salvatores (July 11), and winner of the Pulitzer Prize Michael Cunningham (July 7). Among Italians, Umberto Eco, Claudio Magris and a concert starring Franco Battiato (June 23) are particularly worth mentioning.
.:. Beyond the Teatro Dal Verme, the venues include the Teatro Franco Parenti, the Spazio Oberdan, two halls of the Piccolo Teatro, and a bunch of public or private conference halls.
