The Scala Orchestra conducted by Daniel Barenboim - by Stefano Ranzani on October 31, and on November 2, 5 and 9 - performs Simon Boccanegra by Giuseppe Verdi, a production of La Scala in coproduction with the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Berlin. Performances through November 19. Staging by Federico Tiezzi, sets by Pier Paolo Bisleri, and costumes by Giovanna Buzzi. Plácido Domingo sings Boccanegra on the days when Barenboim conducts.
