Started off quietly a few years ago, and now patronised by the Milan City Council, Milano Film Festival celebrates its 19th edition. A plethora of films and
shorts, with an eye to the emerging themes on the domestic and international
research scene, plus documentaries that depict crimes, injustice and slaughters under the banner of freedom, security and religion.

Navajazo, by Ricardo Silva, winner of the Pardo d'Oro Cineasti del Presente award at Locarno, and
The Tribe by Myroslav Slaboshpytskiy, from the Semaine de la Critique at Cannes. More film sections, one dedicated to animated movies, workshops, talks, bars, a trattoria, and concerts complete the contest.
.:. Events and projections are scheduled not only at the Teatro Strehler, but also at the nearby Teatro Studio Melato, the
Parco Sempione, the Teatro dell'Arte, the Spazio Oberdan, the San Fedele, and the Cascina Cuccagna.
