Piccolo Teatro - Teatro Strehler
Brera district |  Subway  Lanza
Largo Paolo Grassi 2 web

The Piccolo Teatro della Città di Milano was founded after World War Two by the famous director, Giorgio Strehler, soon to become one the best reputed public theaters in Europe.

Its new headquarters, designed by architect Marco Zanuso, were inaugurated in 1996. Three years later, after the director died, they were entitled to Strehler himself.

Despite its name - "Piccolo" (to be pronounced pee-kko-lo, with the stress on the first vowel) means "little" - the new complex is spacially abundant, a physical as well as cultural presence in the city center.

See if there is any interesting play or concert going on.
